WAEC Exams To Hold Despite Dallas Holiday

The West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) has revealed that the sallah holiday will not delay the ongoing exams.

This was made known by the WAEC's Head of Public Affairs Unit, Demianus Ojijeogu, while speaking with Punch. He emphasized that the Agricultural Science and Woodwork Examination for private candidates slated for Monday, September 4, will not be postpone for the celebration.

Ojijeogu said: “The examination will go on as scheduled. We are not cancelling the examination. “Candidates across the participating countries have been notified and we expect them to be at the examination centres on Monday"

In another news, the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has threatened to call for the scrapping of Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) if it failed to reverse the low cut off points for admission into universities and polytechnics. NANS' National Public Relations Officer Bestman Okereafor made this known in statement made available to the press in Enugu on Saturday.
